We know that animals experience pain in much the same way as people, but due to their different natural instincts as both predator & prey, they often do not display their discomfort as readily. It is still important to be able to recognize pain in our pets, and provide comfort where possible.
We use our knowledge of pain medication and pain relief strategies to prevent and manage pain in pets, both before and after surgery, and in the event of injury or inflammation. We can also ease pain caused by chronic disease processes, such as arthritis.
Ask us about our pain management options, which we will tailor to your pet’s medical condition and individual needs. For some of our chronic pain control medications, routine bloodwork or other care may be recommended.
Additionally, please see our page on laser therapy for more information on this ancillary treatment option.
